In our state, there are those who think gambling can help cure our economical woes. I appreciate our governor for his stand and fight against this evil. Our prayers are for him. It is foolish to think that the vice of gambling can solve economical problems when it creates financial problems for people who can least afford it. We have those in the Legislature who are trying to push to legalize gambling when they should look for things that are right and productive for the good of all people. They talk about letting the people vote. As I understand, it will take a constitutional amendment. I pray this will never happen.
