Do you like fast songs? Totaling just 24 minutes, the album “So Many Reasons” is over way too soon, but your ears will get a workout along the way.
“I’ll Be Ready to Go With Him” sets the pace with a piano-driven intro, three verses, three choruses and a quick tag, clocking in at just a minute and 43 seconds. The title cut is next, featuring the signature “tear” in Randy Shelnut’s voice that his fans love.
“Until You Find the Lord” adds a string orchestra to accompany some slower smooth harmonies.
“How Big Is God” is the real jewel on “So Many Reasons.” Pat Barker’s booming tones have a timeless character akin to George Beverly Shea’s on this Stuart-Hamblen classic.
