The Lesters

The Lesters

Believe
Zion

With just a very few exceptions, the name Lester has been around southern gospel music longer than anyone else’s. What started decades ago continues with professionalism, class, dignity — and just  good singing.

Presented as evidence in Believe, another Zion Records release for the Lesters. This 10-song collection features one of the Lesters team, Trecia Cisneros. And, when you take five talented vocalists, add in the always-superb production efforts of Kevin McManus and the God-given writing talents of people like Albert E. Brumley, David Patillo, Mark Mathes, Gerald Crabb and a host of others, the result is nothing short of 100 percent listening pleasure.

Trying to pick a highlight from this recording is just too dificult because there is literally something for everyone on Believe. Just throw a dart — any song you hit will be a winner. Making up the track list are the following tunes: “God’s Gonna Move,” “The Middle Man,” “All the Glory,” “Something to Talk to God About,” “I Believe in the Lord,” “You Are Worth It,” “Walking in Victory,” “His Saving Grace,” “The More I Know” and “The Holy Bride.” And unlike many recordings, this effort is radio-single quality through all 10 songs, not just two or three.

Regardless of your individual musical preferences, as long as you like southern gospel music, you’ll love Believe.
