The Old Path
Horizon
“The Old Path” is an 11-song collection that showcases The McKameys doing what they do best — singing from the heart.
“The Old Path” features several songs that seem tailor-made for The McKameys, including “Jesus Is With Me Everywhere I Go,” “That’s How I Got Saved” and “Altogether Lovely.”
Particularly good for them are “The Old Stream” and Kyla Rowland’s “I Know Something About God’s Grace.”
These two songs could both be strong radio singles for the Clinton, Tenn., group.
Another single possibility — although unique for The McKameys — is from the pen of Ruben and Peg Bean’s daughter Sheryl Farris, “I Will Trust You Lord.”
Friends of The McKameys will also enjoy such song selections as as “He Hears My Tears” and “Resurrection Morn” (the other Farris song).
They will also enjoy “I Am A Soldier Today” (which features young Eli Fortner with a little help from his dad and mom, Roger and Connie), “Oh What Miracles (God Can Do)” and a song that sounds like it could have been taken straight from an old church hymnal, “Let Us Go Back.”
