Three Judson College Graduates Awarded at Annual Alumnae Weekend

The Judson College Alumnae Association recognized three members for oustanding service during its annual meeting, J-Day, at the college April 12–13. 

Sue Lenox Curlee, of Odenville, and Cynthia McCaleb Gore, of Birmingham, received the 2013 Outstanding Alumnae Awards.

Curlee is a 1957 graduate who has had a successful career teaching gifted classes and was named Birmingham’s “Teacher of the Year” for middle school. A preacher’s wife, she has been active in church and missions efforts.

Cynthia McCaleb Gore, a 1973 graduate, spent her professional career in private medical practice at Brookwood Medical Center and retired in 2008.

Marjorie Bullock Norton, of Atlanta, received the 2013 Alumnae Loyalty Award. Norton, a 1956 graduate, remained active in the Judson Alumnae Association and served as its president from 1980–1982. Additionally she’s served on the Board of Advisors for 30 years and received an honorary doctorate from the college in 1990.
