Trinity Memorial 22-year pianist set to retire

Geraldine “Gerry” Goram announced her retirement as church pianist of Trinity Memorial Baptist Church, Montgomery, in Montgomery Baptist Association in April, after nearly 22 years of service.

“[Goram] is just a wonderful person with a great personality,” said Minister of Music Tom Snowden. “Any opportunity she found where she could serve she would do it.

“She was very faithful to her church and Lord. She was a very talented pianist and plays like I have never heard. She has been a great help to me.”

Sherry Holt, longtime friend of Goram’s and wife of Trinity Memorial Pastor Stan Holt, added, “She is doing for others always — always loving, always giving. Our whole church family just fell in love with her from the beginning. It is a real loss.”

The church will have a time of recognition for Goram during the 11 a.m. worship service May 31. There will also be a covered-dish luncheon in her honor following the service.
