Trussville’s Deerfoot Baptist names Scott Pastor Emeritus

Deerfoot Baptist Church, Trussville, names Wayne Scott (center) pastor emeritus March 3. In 1994, 85th Street Baptist Church, East Lake, and Mount Olive Baptist Church, Trussville, merged to form Deerfoot. Scott was pastor of 85th Street and became pastor of Deerfoot. He retired after serving 27 years at 85th Street and Deerfoot. Pictured with him are deacon chairman Ralph Weathers (left) and lifelong member of 85th Street and Deerfoot, Wayne Peoples.
