Two University of Mobile (UM) ensembles sang at the White House Dec. 21 as guests toured the president’s home and viewed Christmas decorations there.
This was the third consecutive year for the vocal ensemble VOICES of Mobile and the second consecutive year for UM’s barbershop quartet RamTonz’s to be invited to sing at the White House.
The 16-member VOICES presents performances of both sacred and secular music in schools and churches and at conferences and civic events.
RamTonz, a traditional barbershop quartet, won first place in the 2007 Dixie District College Quartet Finals. (UM)
