UMobile Named ‘Military Friendly’

The University of Mobile (UMobile) has been named a “Military Friendly School” for 2014 by Victoria Media.

UMobile is ranked in the top 15 percent of “Military Friendly Schools” nationwide in a survey of more than 12,000 schools.

UMobile participates in the Post-9/11 GI Bill Yellow Ribbon Program, which provides education benefits for veterans and their dependents. UMobile also is a member of the Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges Consortium and is recognized as having flexible policies that allow servicemembers and their families to complete degrees when college is interrupted because of deployment or new assignments.

In exchange for a paid college education and a guaranteed post-college career, Reserve Officer Training Corps cadets commit to serve in the U.S. military after graduation.

Currently 64 students receive some form of military-related education benefits.
