University of Mobile alumni make impact in wide variety of fields

Erin Bethea hopes her role as lead actress in the soon-to-be-released movie “Fireproof” will help couples revitalize their marriages.

Chris Lockwood wants to encourage people and focus their attention on Jesus Christ through the music of 33 Miles, a band nominated for 2008 New Artist of the Year at the Dove Awards.

Dr. Rick Payne leaves his successful pediatric practice for a few weeks each year to lead a medical mission trip to West Africa to show God’s love to some of the world’s poorest people.

Dr. Endel Lee, national coordinator for crisis response chaplaincy for the North American Mission Board, is preparing to serve overseas as a Navy Reserve commander in the Chaplain Corps.

Dr. Normalynn Garrett, certified registered nurse anesthetist in the U.S. Army, earns national honors as 2006 researcher of the year and studies the interactions herbal remedies and dietary supplements may have with anesthetics.
