The University of Mobile (UMobile) Upper Room Theatre will present “Barefoot in the Park” Feb. 11–13 and 18–20 in Martin Hall’s black box thrust theatre. The curtain goes up at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 11, 12, 18 and 19. The Sunday matinees begin at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 13 and 20.
A reception will be held in Martin Hall’s Donald Gallery one hour prior to each show.
“Barefoot in the Park” is a romantic comedy by Neil Simon about a straight-laced attorney and his free-spirited bride who live in a tiny sixth floor walk-up apartment with no heat, a hole in the skylight and oddball neighbors.
Bruce Earnest, chair and director of musical theatre, will serve as artistic director of the show. UMobile alumna Alison Wilks will direct the production, and Constance Smith is designing the set.
The box office opens Jan. 28 and hours are 11 a.m.–4 p.m. Monday through Friday. For tickets, call 251-442-2383.
