Valley Grande Church obituary

Ava Juanita Jordan, 97, of Valley Grande Church, Valley Grande, died July 18. Jordan was the former music director for Valley Grande and had served as Woman’s Missionary Union director for Selma Association. A graduate of Southern Seminary in Louisville, Ky., she served as educational director for Central Church, Selma, (now Valley Grande); First Church, Lanett; Evergreen Church, Evergreen; Selmont Church, Selma; and Elkdale Church, Selma.
