VANCOUVER, British Columbia — An attack by the outgoing Archbishop of Canterbury George Carey on Vancouver Anglicans who endorse same-sex blessings backfired, says Bishop Michael Ingham of Vancouver, creating more support for the church to reach out to homosexuals. He said top church leaders from throughout Africa, Britain, Australia and Asia were shocked by Carey’s criticism.
