Vandals at Tennessee church misspell threat

SPARTA, Tenn. — Vandals who targeted a church in Sparta, Tenn., in early August misspelled Satan as “Santin” on one of the church walls. This is leading police to believe they are not-so-bright teens rather than hard-core devil-worshippers, an investigator told the Associated Press.

Kip Simar, pastor of First Apostolic Church, said the vandals must have been angered when they didn’t find money and took the church’s spray paint instead, wreaking damage that totaled about $6,000.
