Vestavia Hills Church, Gary A. Furr anniversary

Gary A. Furr will be honored for his 20th anniversary as pastor of Vestavia Hills Church on Aug. 25, 10 a.m. Fisher Humphreys, professor of divinity, emeritus, of Samford University in Birmingham, will speak. A reception will be held in the fellowship hall from 3–5 p.m. Furr previously served as pastor of churches in Georgia and Texas. He and his wife, Vickie, have three children.
