Want to know God?

Want to know God?

Even in this world of quick answers, people are still searching for something that satisfies their hunger. It is a hunger that eats away at their very soul, yet all the things of this world that we feed ourselves simply leave us hungry and searching.

The Bible teaches us that God has what we are searching for. The one thing that will not leave us longing for more is Jesus.

The Word of God teaches us that God loves us so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus, so that whoever believes upon Him shall have everlasting life (John 3:16).

But the Bible also says all of mankind is under the penalty of sin (Rom. 3:9). Yet God, who knows all things, chose to extend His love toward us (Rom. 5:8). Imagine loving someone who doesn’t love you back, having that knowledge in advance and still loving him or her. Man, that is love beyond understanding.

If you want to know God — better yet, if you want Him to become your Savior and Lord — then all you must do is realize you are a sinner and that even in your sinful state, Jesus died for you.

Jesus said anyone who comes to Him, He will not cast out (John 6:37). So if you ask Jesus, then He will save you today, regardless of who you are or where you are in life.

To know God, to believe that He is true and His Word is true and His love is pure, brings to your soul peace that is described as full of joy. God’s love is precious and filling to the heart.
