Can you imagine trying to live without water? I have always enjoyed a good cold glass of refreshing water.
My wife, Bonnie, enjoys even more than I do. As a matter of fact, one of the best purchases I have made is a refrigerator with a water dispenser. Now we enjoy an ongoing supply of purified refreshing water.
Jesus Christ is the source for our thirsty lives.
He told a woman gathering water at Jacob’s well in Sychar that He is the source for living water (John 4:10). He explained that the thirst for her satisfaction and a meaningful life was realized in a relationship with Him as the living well.
Is there a thirst in your life for satisfaction and meaning? Are you finding that other sources are not pure and refreshing?
How can we expect to experience the healthy life without His water?
That Samaritan woman was wise. She took advantage of the offer availed her and said, “… give me this water” (John 4:15). She experienced a life-changing and refreshing satisfaction that affected so many others as well (John 4:39).
Far greater than the satisfaction I enjoy from the purifying and refreshing water dispenser in our kitchen is the continuous pure grace of God. I pray that you will avail yourself to His dispensing love and allow the flow to fill you and sustain you daily.
