West Highland Baptist Church, Andalusia, honored Sue Reeves on Aug. 4 during the morning worship service for her faithfulness and dedication as the church pianist.
Reeves, who began as pianist during her teen years, was presented with a plaque by Pastor Larry Stewart for her many years of service. In addition, several members who have attended the church throughout her time in the role spoke about their appreciation of Reeves.
Former minister of music David Sanders returned as the pianist for the day so that Reeves could fully enjoy the festivities.
After the service, everyone convened for a special lunch in Reeves’ honor, which included a sheet cake decorated to look like a keyboard. The fellowship hall was decorated in a musical theme by the hostess committee, and Reeves was presented with gifts by guests and church members.
