Westside Baptist Church, Jasper, celebrated its 100th anniversary Nov. 9. Special music was provided by the choir. David Miller, director of missions for Walker Baptist Association, made presentations on behalf of the association and the Alabama Baptist Historical Commission. Pictured alongside Miller are members Teddy Jones, Dianne Myers and Diana Jones. Chris Crain, a former member and the current executive director of Birmingham Metro Baptist Association, offered a tribute of praise and prayer of gratitude following Scripture reading by Charlee Overby, Asher Sherer, Laura Sherer and Jones. Pastor Chris Sherer gave the message followed by a fellowship lunch.
