“What’s your favorite Christmas memory from church?”
Larry Roberts
I was going through a “no Santa” phase where I didn’t think that he ought to even be on the church property. And guess who brought my Christmas bonus that year?

The day I became a child of God. I was 12 years old! It changed my life forever. Praise God, thank you Jesus.

Over 45 years ago, we’d have a yearly Christmas program at our church and then Santa would come and give out fruit and that yucky hard candy you got back in the “old days.” I remember one year we could tell Santa was my dad because he had size 13 feet and wore his usual light brown Sunday shoes while he was Santa.

Years ago at a church I pastored we did a live nativity scene out in front of our church. It was so cold but the folks were faithful and Jesus was glorified. It is cold in Dec in MI.

My favorite Christmas memory from church is and will probably always be the Mission Friends “nativity” program. I have 2 boys and one is still young enough to participate. My other favorite is the short Christmas Eve service that we have.

Being a “wise man” in the Christmas play. Hummm? Somewhere I dropped the ball. :o(
