Will God Heal Me?

Those of you who are familiar with Ron Dunn might be surprised to see a newly published book by him. Actually this is not a new book at all, but a re-released one. First published in 1997, “Will God Heal Me?” was re-published by his widow, making this and others of his books available to an emerging generation not familiar with the popular preacher who died in 2001.

Dunn takes on the question of divine healing. Before you rush out to buy the book, be warned: Dunn’s answer to the title question is not a simple “yes” or “no.”  Instead he presents an in-depth look at what Scripture says about healing and laces it liberally with anecdotes to come up with a pretty orthodox answer that may or may not satisfy the reader — and certainly will not be what some readers want to hear. 

A really helpful, but unusual, part of the book was the two chapters on hermeneutics, or biblical interpretation. In those chapters, the author explained in detail (probably simplified for those of us who do not have seminary degrees) several principles of interpreting Scripture.
