We have been contacted by several teens and young adults interested in coming by themselves or with a friend or two to help us in Japan this summer. With that in mind, we are planning a “Tokyo Youth Outreach” conglomerate team project that will consist of arriving in Tokyo Aug. 6 (leaving the United States Aug. 5) and leaving Japan Aug. 16.
We will start with a day of team formation, orientation and preparation activities and then be involved in eight days of outreach focused on youth and young adults. The team will be involved primarily in outreach activities with the ImpactJapan team.
They will do International Friendship Parties, street witnessing using music and mime, informal “hanging out,” tract and Scripture distribution, sports and other activities to meet new friends and share Jesus among the 99 percent of Japanese who don’t know Him. There will also be some opportunities for sightseeing and prayerwalking in Tokyo.
