We thank you for keeping our family and ministry in your prayers as we have transitioned to life in the United States on stateside assignment (until June 2007).
We praise the Lord that two new Japanese brothers followed Christ in baptism during early June.
Kai-san, 24, came to Christ in a slow, but steady, process that began when one of our gospel Santas gave him a Digest Bible during the Christmas season of 2004. Shigeru-san, 36, came across our Japanese outreach Web site as he looked for information about the Christian faith. When he requested some literature, we learned that he lives only about 10 minutes from our house in Yokohama. After about six weeks of Bible study in a local Starbucks, he bowed his head in prayer and asked Christ to enter his heart and life as Savior and Lord.
Tokyo Metro Community (TMC) is the small group-based church-planting project we are doing in partnership with Campus Crusade for Christ.
The one-to-one Bible-study time that began with Kai-san has become a TMC small-group worship gathering involving four to six believers and seekers meeting in the small office of a Christian business in the Roppongi area of Tokyo. Pray for Dai-san, a 23-year-old young man who is sincerely seeking truth and meaning for his life.
