God’s been gracious as He’s granted me the strength to spend more time each day with Him. I definitely haven’t done a lot as far as the work goes, and normally I’d be a nervous wreck as a result. But what an adventure it’s been. I mostly camped out in Mark and 1 Chronicles.
I recently went to meet Maggie, the sales manager at the hotel where we’ve been teaching English. After a while the conversation drifted to God, and she and I resumed the conversation we’d had a month ago. She was open then, and she was open tonight. She said she’d had plenty of time to think the past few weeks about the story of Jesus and wanted to hear more. I shared everything again, but in greater detail. She said, “I want this.” I asked “Why?” Her answer was simple: “Because I have done what is wrong.” She wanted to be forgiven and “follow Jesus forever.”
Do you know what this means? Her 40 staff members at the hotel are now working for a Christian. How awesome is that?
The same day God used Kevin, my teammate, to lead two local artists and their friend, a teacher, into the family. All of them have never been more ready to begin that love relationship with God and begin reaching their close circle of family and friends for the Kingdom.
