HOLLYWOOD — “The Winslow Boy” won the Epiphany Prize for the most inspiring movie of 1999, and the CBS television series “Jag” won the Epiphany Prize for most inspiring television program of 1999 at the Eighth Annual Movieguide Awards Gala and Report to the Entertainment Industry, held March 15.
The two $25,000 cash prizes are given by the John Templeton Foundation for movie and network television programs that are “spiritually uplifting, inspiring and result in a great increase in man’s love of God or man’s understanding of God.” Two veteran actors, Richard Farnsworth and Chuck Norris, were recognized for the most inspirational performances in film and on television.
