United States women’s basketball team victory over Korea and the United States women’s softball team in their win over the Kiwi people of New Zealand.

“It was a lot of fun as the New Zealanders would yell ‘Ki-Wi!’ and the Americans would respond ‘U-S-A!’” she said. “We had an incredible time.”

The team, which left prior to the conclusion of the Olympics, was also treated to a barbecue given by the church. Mullins said the barbecue featured the country’s “typical delicious beef sausages” and an Australian dessert called pavlova.

Mullins said the team also picked up on the country’s vernacular.

“We’ve learned to say ‘Ozzie, Ozzie, Ozzie—Oi, Oi, Oi!’ as we celebrate with our Australian friends when they win gold.”
