GREENSBORO, N.C. — Missions Friends, the church missions organization of Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU) for preschoolers ages birth through pre-first, marked its 110th birthday during the WMU Annual Missions Celebration June 11–12 in Greensboro, N.C. During the meeting, Joye Smith, national WMU preschool consultant, recounted the history of the organization from the days of Sunbeams — the original name in 1896 — to the present and recognized leaders who taught in both eras.
