Samford University will host author Susan M. Shaw on Feb. 22 at 10 a.m. in Reid Chapel. Shaw is a writer and frequent speaker on many topics related to Southern Baptists, feminism and women.
The 2011 Marie NeSmith Fowler lecture topic is “Living Like Weasels: Passion, Risk, Vocation and Your Future.”
Sponsored by Samford’s Christian Women’s Leadership Center, the lecture series honors the late Mrs. Fowler, a Samford graduate from Hartselle. Fowler was one of the first female pharmacists and pharmacy owners in the state.
The Fowler lecture series is open to the public.
