Unlike traditional public schools, these specialty schools aren’t funded through Alabama’s enrollment-based Foundation Program. Instead, they receive line-item appropriations in the education trust fund budget.
“Can you imagine someone coming into your neighborhood and telling you there is an entirely different way to believe?” asked Seth Shelton, pastor of The Way Church.
“We’re determined to lean into the Lord because we know He’s gracious,” said Chris Baker, pastor of Summit Life Church in Whitefish, Montana. “We know it’s no surprise to Him — He’s sovereign over all of us.”
