Safely singing in church should resume by fall if the U.S. vaccination program stays on track, said Dr. Anthony Fauci in Jan. 18 remarks at the Choose Healthy Life Black Clergy Conclave, an online gathering of church leaders, public health officials and others involved in the COVID-19 response.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, corporate singing and choirs have been linked to several COVID-19 outbreaks.
When asked when churches could sing freely again, Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said if the vaccination rollout is successful, “in the mid-fall, we’ll be able to get back to that type of worship which we all are longing for right now,” Premier Christian News reported.
