The University of Mobile is calling all golfers to the green for the annual University of Mobile Golf Classic on Thursday, Oct. 29, at Magnolia Grove Golf Course. The tournament brings together friends, alumni, businesses, churches and university supporters for fellowship, fun and an opportunity to invest in the lives of UM students.
The UM Golf Classic will feature a four-person scramble welcoming players of all skill levels. From the first drive to the final putt, participants will enjoy a day on the course while helping make a Christ-centered University of Mobile education possible for students.
Missions support
Proceeds from the tournament support the university’s Great Commission Fund, a fund that helps provide scholarships, strengthen spiritual formation and create missions opportunities for students as they pursue God’s calling on their lives.
For UM student Brianna Carmichael, support through the Great Commission Fund has been more than financial assistance — it has helped make her college education possible.
“The Great Commission Fund scholarships have been a huge blessing to me. Through the generous giving of our donors, the financial burden of college has been greatly diminished, allowing me to focus more on preparing for the calling that God has placed on my life,” Carmichael said.
