Every committed Christian [should] join forces with the [national] Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU) so that the voice of the WMU in support of missions will grow stronger in the years ahead rather than fade away. In the Great Commission, Jesus asked us all to engage in and support missions of love and service to others to introduce them to the transforming power of the Holy Spirit. To my mind, no other Baptist organization has done this more selflessly and effectively than the WMU.
Baptists can evidence their support of the WMU by gifts to the WMU Foundation. I urge all Baptists to consider a tithe (10 percent or more) of their estates in support of missions.
