Letter Clarified

Letter Clarified

Thanks for publishing my letter (Women in Ministry, Aug. 31, 2000, p. 2). It would have made a bit more sense, however, if half a sentence, then a whole sentence, then another half sentence, had not been inadvertently dropped.

The sentence in the paper which read, “Wives are to submit to their parents” should have read: “Wives are to submit to their husbands. Husbands are to submit to their wives. Children are to submit to their parents.”

I know these things happen. I thank you for printing the letter even with this slip. Thanks also for voicing divergent views. I really appreciated all the previous articles exploring the implications of the change in the Baptist Faith and Message.
