Q: What do you love about the church?
A: It is right in the community where I live, and it is a good group of folks. There is no reason to ever leave it. I can’t say enough about our church, its leadership and the direction it’s going.
Q: What does the ministry of teaching Sunday School demand?
A: It means I have to spend a lot of time preparing the lesson and then teaching the lesson on Sunday morning. There’s another side of this ministry I really enjoy, and that is keeping up with the members of the class throughout the week.
Q: How do family members support you?
A: My family has been very supportive of me. My wife works in the church also in preschool and has always supported me in whatever I have done in the church.
Q: How do you see yourself involved in this ministry in the future?
A: I don’t see a change in it at all. I still see myself active in all phases — outreach, visitation and teaching. I’m also usually on one of the committees [every year], and I plan to keep serving as long as I am able to.
Q: What difference has this ministry made in your life?
A: It has given me a resolve to be real active and busy. It’s given me a reason to keep going.
