Joint committee

I look forward each week to receiving The Alabama Baptist and reading the editorial by Bob Terry.

You do an excellent job with your editorials, but I must take issue with a statement in the Feb. 22 edition relating to taxes.

Your statement that “The Baptist Joint Committee, which now does not represent Southern Baptists…” is a remark with which I wish to take issue.

I am a lifelong Southern Baptist and the Baptist Joint Committee represents me moreso than the fundamentalist Southern Baptist Convention Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission.
