Judson College Inaugurates Chapel Season

Judson College alumna Dr. Judi Favor returned to her alma mater to deliver the first chapel address for the new academic year Sept. 4.

Favor grew up in Hayneville and remains a member of Hayneville Baptist Church. After graduating from Lowndes Academy she enrolled at Judson as a chemistry major.

Favor attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Medicine, where she was a member of the AOA National Honor Society and received the CREOG Award for scoring highest in the nation on the OB/GYN written board exams.

Favor has served on the Judson College board of trustees since 1993 and chaired the board from 2005 until 2007.

“I’ll always be grateful to Alabama Baptists for making possible my Christian higher education,” she said. “At Judson I learned to seek not a career, but rather God’s calling for my life.”
