Ways churches can help – Human trafficking feature

  • Pray.
  • Minister to basic needs, such as meeting needs for safe houses.
  • Provide medical care to victims.
  • Assist with legal fees of victims.
  • Provide counseling to victims.
  • Provide spiritual formation, such as volunteering to lead Bible studies or mentor individuals in safe houses or other organizations rescuing human trafficking victims.
  • Teach basic education to victims.
  • Teach life skills to victims.
  • Teach financial planning to victims.
  • Partner with safe houses and other organizations seeking to end human trafficking.
  • Be part of 10@10 for Interstate 10 (I–10), an initiative created by Traffick Stop to pray on the 10th of every month at 10 a.m./p.m. for eradication of trafficking on I–10.
  • Sponsor an advertisement against trafficking on a billboard.
  • Work with local law enforcement to train in how to look for human trafficking in your town.
  • Become a hub of resources and networking to eradicate human trafficking in your town.
