Outraged

The Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) has gone too far with the sacredness they place in the Baptist Faith and Message, now our Baptist Creed. To make employees of our convention, missionaries, chaplains, etc., sign a piece of paper before they can fulfill their calling is just unbelievable. This is to say that you don’t trust these people unless they sign … wow. How do you stop a repressive police state — a police state that is now our convention? The name of the game is to remove these people’s freedom and make them puppets. People control a puppet, not the Holy Spirit. They are wrong, dead wrong to remove a person’s freedom in my country. Why not say, “Sign if you feel led?” Because that would take power away from our bureaucracy.

Our convention leaders are now untouchable. However, if you make a person sign off on a document in order to lead, why not all our pastors? The day my church says I have to sign a creed to continue my calling, I’m gone.
