Attention span

I read with interest the article “Church trends affect building concerns, design” by Tommy Haralson. One of the statements he made about new trends in churches was “Worship services that respect the shorter attention spans of attendees.” Or to paraphrase, like so many other things in our society, we are now “dumbing down” our worship services.
