SBC’s Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission board of trustees announced today (Sept. 17) they are searching for a spiritually mature, pastoral in heart, Southern Baptist leader who is a proven unifier.
FBC Trussville pastor emeritus Gary Hollingsworth will serve SBC’s Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission as interim president from his home in the Birmingham area, traveling to Nashville as needed.

The violence began around 11:30 a.m. when the suspect shot a KSP trooper near Blue Grass Airport after a traffic stop and then fled to Richmond Road Baptist Church, where he opened fire, city Police Chief Lawrence Weathers said.
