Baptist Women’s Day of Prayer set Nov. 7

The Baptist Women’s World Day of Prayer Nov. 7 will focus on Europe with the theme Seeing with New Eyes.

The theme “is a challenge for change,” said Ewa Gutkowska, president of the European Baptist Women’s Union (EBWU), which is part of the Baptist World Alliance Women’s Department. “Not change to suggest the past as irrelevant or change just to be different, but change as an inward transformation that results in renewed outward expression.

“Seeing with New Eyes denotes the desire to have our vision illuminated by the light of Christ and our actions motivated by the love of Christ,” Gutkowska said, noting the day of prayer helps Baptists learn about the needs of women around the world.

The EBWU prepared a program to help groups participate in the event. It is available www.bwanet.org. For more information call 703-790-8980 or e-mail womenbwa@bwanet.org.
