Beulah Baptist celebrates 150th anniversary

Beulah Baptist Church, Lisman, celebrated its 150th anniversary May 5. Johnny Doggett was the speaker. Pat Musselwhite presented a certificate from the Alabama Baptist Historical Commission, and Brad Campbell, director of missions for Bigbee Baptist Association, also presented the church with a certificate.

“We are proud to celebrate 150 years,” church member Ruth Tew said. “Many times we didn’t know how much longer we could hold on. It is a testament to the Lord that we are still here.”
