Bingo illusion

I enjoy watching magic shows. The magician will tell you that it is not real, but it still looks so real.Now we have a bunch of magicians in Etowah County and Montgomery. They don’t tell you that their bingo plans are all an illusion. Like Satan and the apple in the Garden of Eden, they say, “Just eat the apple,” and everything will be great.

I’m so thankful for Brother Gary Cardwell of the Etowah Baptist Association and Gov. Bob Riley for all the work they do to try to enlighten our people. Our pastors need to get more involved also. They are the ones who are closer to the people.

The bingo people are a bunch of robbers who admit they are robbing you and then brag that you cannot figure it out.

I saw where one group bragged that they paid $55 million in taxes and created 2,000 jobs. Of course, all thinking people know they did not pay these taxes or pay these people. They were paid out of the money people lost while trying to get rich. How much money do the suckers have to lose for the company to pay out this amount? It would be in the millions of dollars.

They also claim some of this money goes to charity. This is more of the suckers’ money lost. Also there is much more overhead — and don’t forget the company’s profit. They are not in this for the fun of it; they expect to take home the big pot. Moral people, and especially Christians, need to look very close to what is going on and who is doing this. There will be another election soon, and we need to see that none of these officials are ever elected again.

If we don’t defeat this scheme now before it goes through, it will be hard to stop. Wake up, people, before it’s too late.
