Team USA won silver today (Sept. 2) in Paralympic wheelchair rugby after losing to Japan in the gold medal game.
Zion Redington, a teen who attends The Church at Brook Hills in Birmingham, was a part of Team USA and one of the youngest players ever to make the nation’s Paralympic wheelchair rugby team.
The team started its run to silver with a win against Canada on Aug. 29, followed by a 45-42 loss to Japan on Aug. 30. Team USA won its next two games against Germany and Great Britain before facing Japan again in the gold medal game.
