As the SBC name change task force recently weighed changing its name, denominational leaders were bombarded with suggestions. Hundreds of them.
Most suggestions avoided the word “Southern” but one hinted at the denomination’s regional flavor: Baptist Ultimate Bible Believing Alliance, or BUBBA.
Just for fun, The Alabama Baptist would like to hear your creative suggestions for names for the SBC. Post these on our Facebook page or email them to news@thealabamabaptist.org.
The staff will compile these along with other names rejected by the task force and post them on our website in a few weeks.
