Betty Moni. San Antonio, Texas: IMD Press, 2007. 365 pp. (Paperback).
Betty Moni is honest and to the point. In this book, she uses humor to address some of the struggles she has dealt with in her life. She also points out that we can begin again in a world that constantly focuses on fleshly desires. Targeting a female audience, Moni gives advice on topics such as fear, uncertainty and frustration. She tells stories, shares poems and focuses on specific biblical teachings.
Moni compares humans stuck in a world of evil and ugliness to a butterfly’s first form as a caterpillar. Through this comparison, she paints a picture of how Jesus transforms us into a different person.
The book will leave you asking the question “Do I want to live like a butterfly?” Moni, who is now a recording artist and inspirational speaker, also wrote “Where to Go When It Hurts.”
