FALLS CHURCH, Va. — As the Ebola outbreak in West Africa continues, the Baptist World Alliance is urgently appealing for donations to help assist those displaced by the virus, to provide food for those affected, to distribute educational materials for prevention of the spread of Ebola and more.
According to the World Health Organization, there were 2,615 suspected cases of Ebola by Aug. 20, with 1,427 deaths in Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Nigeria. The current Ebola outbreak first began in Guinea in March.
