If you’re a trained disaster relief volunteer, you’re needed for the effort to help those affected by Hurricane Helene. If you’re not trained yet, there are two opportunities to get trained – one this weekend and one later this month.
The road to recovery is “going to be a long operation” in the states affected by Hurricane Helene and “will need a significant number of volunteers,” said Mark Wakefield, Alabama Baptist Disaster Relief strategist.
Alabama Baptist Disaster Relief volunteers are headed to do chainsaw cleanup work in Live Oak, Florida, and help feed residents of four counties from ABDR’s mobile kitchen in Alma, Georgia.
