Amanda, 12, and Josh, 6, residents of the Decatur campus of the Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes & Family Ministries, warm the hearts of messengers at the state convention annual meeting in Huntsville, as they sing “Jesus Loves Me.”
Bobby Smith, director of the Decatur campus, was one of seven Children’s Homes staff members and residents who gave testimonies of how Christ is shared through the Children’s Homes ministry.
Paul Miller, executive director of the Children’s Homes, said, “That’s just a sample of what Intentional Evangelism looks like at the Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes & Family Ministries.”
According to the Book of Reports, 99 children and youth were cared for in Children’s Homes facilities during the first half of 2005.
An additional 80 children and youth were provided foster homes, and more than 1,000 children and adults saw counselors through Pathways Professional Counseling during the same time frame. (TAB)
