NASHVILLE — Year-to-date contributions through the Southern Baptist Convention’s Cooperative Program and designated giving are up compared to this same time frame in 2002, according to a news release from SBC Executive Committee President and Chief Executive Officer Morris H. Chapman.
As of Jan. 31, 2003, the year-to-date total of $61,228,843.78 for CP Missions is 0.72 percent, or $437,545.49, ahead of the $60,791,298.29 received at this same point last year. For the month, receipts of $18,872,437.22 were 8.29 percent, or $1,444,711.26, above the $17,427,725.96 received in January 2002.
The SBC operates on an Oct. 1–Sept. 30 fiscal year.
For the SBC Cooperative Program Allocation Budget, the year-to-date total of $61,228,843.78 is 103.80 percent of the $58,987,467.32 budgeted, or $2,241,376.46 more to support Southern Baptist ministries globally and across North America.
